Meet the ECHK Team

Clive Kirsten
Founder/Managing Director

Clive designs and engineers the ECHK custom built installation structures and consults on the technical aspects with the rental projects.

Having trained and practised as an architect during his early career, Clive went on to establish ECHK in 2006. He brings his technical expertise and passion for membrane structures to the events and hospitality industry.

Having originally imported all the structures to Hong Kong, he has developed and engineered the product further along with the operational knowledge specific to the ongoing challenging tropical conditions of Asia.

Having recently completed his Engineering Masters in Membrane Lightweight Structures, Clive is now working with his experienced ECHK Team to develop unique and innovative structures in response to the events and hospitality industry needs.

Alex Prideaux
Account Manager

Alex liaises with the custom and rental clients for ECHK along with overseeing the design and technical aspects for the rental market.

With an early passion in technology and design, Alex trained in the world of technical theatre and film. Having established himself in the events industry in London and across Europe, he worked for and with a variety of luxury brands, well-established corporate companies and exclusive private party planners.

Since moving to Hong Kong in 2009, he has worked on a variety of large scale projects including the HSBC Cathay Pacific Rugby 7’s and Clockenflap. With his knowledge and experience in temporary structures, technical event production and design for live events, Alex is always up for a challenge and looking to exceed his client’s expectations.

Sandy Ip
Project Coordinator

Sandy oversees the operational and project planning aspects of ECHK for the rental projects. Her attention to detail and unflappable manner allows her to liaise with suppliers and contractors whilst being focused on site regarding the delivery of the product.

Sandy has always worked in challenging corporate multi-cultural environments, which has helped her to utilise her local knowledge along with maintaining essential Western perspective regarding high end brand delivery and expectations.

She is well experienced in temporary structures and has a broad perspective of the events industry in Asia. As Project Coordinator, Sandy is hands on in bringing all the ideas of the project to reality – from concept to completion. As always, she is excited to greet you on site and deliver outstanding every time.

Apple Lui
Business Development

Apple facilitates the Business Development and Marketing at ECHK. Her ability and passion for forging and strengthening professional relationships gives ECHK a huge advantage. Apple also has great knowledge at understanding our client market and requirements of the events and hospitality industries.

Connecting with our clients and creative end users is essential and Apple helps us to develop strategies and products that align with the fast changing demands across Asia. Her back ground in the creative industry of interior design, enables her to use a wealth of experience.

Being a health and fitness enthusiast, she enjoys cross fit training and outdoor sports in her leisure time.

Mei Wong
Administrator

Mei oversees the day to day running of the ECHK office and has 15 years experience working on projects in Hong Kong and Macao. Initially starting as an Administration Assistant she has progressed through to be Project Secretary, Personal Assistant, Senior Document Controller to then finally be Human Resources Advisor where she was involved in Graduates Programs together with employee Training and Development programs here in Asia.

Mei grew up in Jakarta where she undertook Management and Secretarial studies before moving to Hong Kong.

A proud moment for Mei was on the most recent extension project for the MTR where she supported the on site audits. Outside of work Mei  enjoys hiking, dragon boating and circuit training.
